What is VendorStax?
VendorStax is a vendor management system for card vendors and card shops. It helps you manage inventory, automate pricing, prepare for shows, track sales and trades, control Show Mode and Shop Mode, understand inventory performance, and see how your business is doing beyond total sales.
How do I get started?
Click Get Started! and create your VendorStax account using your Gmail / Google login. If you are joining an existing team, your Admin will create or invite your account and send you an invite link so you can access the correct workspace.
Who is VendorStax built for?
VendorStax is built for card vendors, card shops, and serious sellers who buy, sell, trade, consign, vend at shows, or manage inventory across a store and events. It is especially useful for teams managing hundreds of cards, sealed products, slabs, lots, locations, and buyer requests.
Do I need to be a full-time vendor to use VendorStax?
No. VendorStax is useful for weekend vendors, serious side-hustle sellers, full-time card businesses, and card shops. The goal is simple: help you understand what is selling, what is sitting, what should be repriced, and what is actually making money.
Devices & Access
Does VendorStax work on Apple and Android?
Yes. The best part is that you do not have to download anything from an app store. VendorStax is a Progressive Web App, or PWA, that scales for both mobile devices and browsers. You can use it from your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop browser.
Can I view VendorStax on my computer?
Yes. Through research and feedback from vendors, we found that many vendors prefer to manage inventory on a computer or laptop when they are at home or at the office. A full-screen experience makes it easier to work with hundreds of cards, sealed products, lots, and reports compared to doing everything on a small phone screen.
Do I need to install anything?
No traditional download is required. You can open VendorStax from your browser. On most phones, you can also save it to your home screen so it feels like an app without needing to install it through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Inventory & Imports
Can I import my own data?
Yes. We created an import process that uses Collectr's app file format. VendorStax can import card descriptions and pricing information so vendors do not have to start from scratch.
Can I manage raw cards, slabs, and sealed products?
Yes. VendorStax is designed for how vendors and shops actually operate. You can manage raw singles, graded slabs, sealed products, lots, show inventory, card locations, and cards that are available online through your Shop.
Can VendorStax support sports cards?
Currently, VendorStax supports Pokémon and Lorcana. As we receive more requests from sports dealers, we can add features and workflows specific to sports cards.
Pricing & Market Data
What makes VendorStax different from Collectr and other pricing apps?
Apps like Collectr are primarily built for collectors who want to track the pricing and performance of cards and sealed products. VendorStax is different because it is built as a vendor and shop operating system. Pricing matters, but the bigger value is helping you manage inventory, set asking prices, run shows, track performance, control team access, and understand what actually works in your business.
Does VendorStax automatically update prices?
Yes. Dynamic Pricing can automatically keep List Price current based on the pricing rule you choose. You can price at the top of the market range, the average of the range, or a custom percentage or dollar amount above or below the top.
Can I lock the price on a specific card?
Yes. Price Override lets you lock an individual card's price so it is never touched by automatic pricing, even if the rest of your inventory updates.
Does VendorStax support slab and graded card pricing?
Yes. VendorStax supports slab and graded card pricing using real eBay sold-listing data for PSA, BGS, CGC, and SGC graded cards. Graded pricing appears alongside raw pricing so you can see the grading premium at a glance.
Does pricing account for card condition?
Yes. Condition-Accurate Pricing reflects the actual condition of the card, such as Near Mint or Lightly Played, instead of using one blended average across every condition.
Can I still set my own asking price?
Yes. Vendors control their own asking prices. VendorStax can help keep prices current and organized, but the final pricing strategy is always yours.
Card Shops & Shop Mode
Is VendorStax built for card shops too?
Yes. VendorStax now includes shop-friendly controls like card location tracking, Kiosk Mode price visibility settings, customer request capture, team roles, and reconciliation exports for shops that sell at shows while also managing inventory in a store or POS system.
Can I track where a card is located?
Yes. You can assign a Display Case, Binder, shelf, or custom location to any card. That location can also appear in Kiosk Mode so staff can find cards faster.
Can I hide prices in Kiosk Mode?
Yes. Shops and vendors can hide prices in Kiosk Mode when they prefer to quote prices in person instead of showing every asking price on screen.
What is the "Can't Find a Card?" request form?
The request form lets customers leave their contact information for out-of-stock or missing cards. Vendors can optionally receive an email notification when a request is submitted.
Shows, Shop & Reports
How does VendorStax help at card shows?
VendorStax helps you prepare inventory before the show, manage cards during the event, log sales and trades, and review performance after the show. The goal is to help you understand what sold, what sat, what had the best return, and whether the show was actually profitable.
What is Shop?
Shop lets vendors display inventory online so guests and visitors can claim cards they are interested in. Free users can show up to 20 cards, while Pro users can display unlimited cards. When someone claims a card, the vendor can be notified in the app and by email.
What is Kiosk Mode?
Kiosk Mode lets vendors display inventory on a portable TV, tablet, or monitor at their table or in their shop. It helps shoppers browse more cards than the vendor can physically display, while giving the vendor control over card locations, price visibility, and request capture.
Does VendorStax help with taxes?
Yes. VendorStax provides a Profit & Loss report to help vendors understand income and expenses. This can help you stay more organized when preparing records for tax time.
Can I export sold and unsold inventory after a show?
Yes. Reconciliation Export helps shops and vendors bridge inventory between a show and their own POS system by exporting exactly what sold and what did not.
Can I bulk edit online shop listings?
Yes. Improved Bulk Editing lets you filter and manage online shop listings in bulk more precisely, which is especially useful for larger inventories.
Teams & Data
Can I share my account with others?
Yes. Pro includes one additional team member for free. You can add more seats for $3/month each, and you can add several team members in a single checkout.
What is the difference between Staff and Admin roles?
Staff can help with inventory, shows, and day-to-day tools. Admin-only areas like profit reports, business settings, and CRM stay protected so you can bring on help without giving away the whole business.
How do team invites work?
Instant Team Invites send new team members an automatic email with what they need to get into the account.
How is my data stored?
VendorStax is hosted using Cloudflare, stores application data in Supabase, and uses Google Auth for login management. We designed the platform so vendors can manage their business data from the web while using modern cloud infrastructure.
Who can see my inventory and business data?
Your internal account data is intended for you and the users you add to your VendorStax account. Public-facing features like Shop only show the cards you choose to publish online.
